Intern brings new perspective

Amy Harrison is a senior at The University of Memphis seeking a degree in Psychology with a minor in American Sign Language. She has worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Resilience Emerging Admist Childhood Hardships (REACH) Lab at The University of Memphis working with at-risk women, children and families. While working on her degree at the U of M, Amy has been learning American Sign Language as well as D/deaf culture and history. She has joined DeafConnect as an intern and looks forward to learning more about the D/deaf community and culture and becoming an effective ally for the community.
